    1. I’m sure that was a hard choice.

Getting handed the opportunity to make a big budget film of some art you’ve worked on for years, or obtain a massive pile of debt to get a qualification you might never use.

Definitely going to look better on his resume than any film/art degree ever could.

Backrooms is about to have a $50M+ opening weekend.

      Kane made the right decision.

    4. I love his YouTube stuff and can’t wait to see this movie. May just pay the $20 to see it on streaming early.

Would you like to be shot in the face with a gun or receive a blowjob. Tough choice!

If you wanna work in film college is beyond useless, that applies to anyone not even prodigy directors

    7. I’m in my 50s, and I’m pretty pumped about these young guys coming up in the horror industry. Every generation adds its own spin to the genre. Feels like we’re about to have a new golden age in horror.

Proud to have bought a Backrooms ticket and contribute to Kane’s college fund. Lmao

    9. Hmm, go to school for film, make actual full length film debut… Which do I think is better…. Hmmm…

      Parents: Go to college.

Kane: I got accepted into Backrooms/A24.

      Parents: Wonderful. Our alma mater.

Hey kid, want debt or a ton of money?

I’ll take the debt please. Bye.

Like what? Who’d choose college over that?

    12. College is increasingly more and more of a joke, he is making the right choice. He can go do a James Franco or any number of other people who made it, then went to school, if it’s important to him.

So either a diamond or a smelly pile of shit. Easy choice I’d imagine.

    14. Ah yeah college, the thing you can only do right after high school and if you don’t immediately go you are banned from ever doing it for the rest of your life.

If they remake Citizen Kane with him in the Welles role, as I expect they will, the concluding mention of “Rosebud” shall be replaced with “Portal 2.”

    16. I have 2 degrees. I’d gladly give one back to star in a movie that’s likely to be a hit. Not really a choice.

    17. Depending on the deal he got for making the movie, he is set for life and can go to college whenever he wants.

As a film school grad, you will learn more from one day on a real set then you will in four years of film school. Good choice
