    1. The writers of these articles must love having a movie title so easy to make cheesy jokes for.

I liked the movie and I recognize they performed miracles with the budget, but I found the lighting/cinematography bland and one-note to the point of enervation. But there were a few exceptions here and there, like that one fussily lit shot when he’s peering around his bedroom at 3AM and discovers she’s standing in the corner.

Edit: Does every post about every popular movie have to be precisely in lock-step with the cheerleading consensus, or else receive down votes? A fine movie overall but the cinematography absolutely had, by and large, the visual atmosphere of stale coffee. Obscuring the obsessed one in shadows was a good (albeit familiar) trick, but otherwise I found the visuals anemic and impersonal. And not always toward any clear artistic end.

It is always the low budget indie horror movies carrying the entire box office every single year while massive studio blockbusters completely flop. word of mouth is undefeated.

    4. Crazy that the blonde kid from “that’s a bad idea” wrote and directed it. Just found that out this morning. 🤯
