John Hockridge, First Assistant Director on ‘Anger Management,’ ‘Wayne’s World’ and ‘Tommy Boy,’ Dies at 79

Pretty wide range of credits besides the ones listed above including *Star Trek III: The Search for Spock*, *Ghost* & the Hulk Hogan movie *No Holds Barred*. He also worked in TV including a real cult comedy gem: *Danger Theatre*.

It aired in the summer of 1993 on Fox. Only seven episodes were made & never shown in reruns, as far as i’m aware. Penelope Spheeris was one of the creators & Robert Vaughn was the straight-faced host that introduced each anthology segment.

It was a spoof on a number of different genres including island cops, hip detectives & a lone vigilant going town to town righting wrongs. The last one was the best. Diedrich Bader in early role played The Searcher, a truly incompetent hero.
