      I’m glad she feels terrible but that’s seriously negligent. There’s no excuse on her part not to know. 

      I was going to make a joke about her getting advice from a psychic but then I read further in the article and she was indeed getting advice from a psychic.

      It’s her job to be advised on these issues before making decisions.

      Being negligent or flippant with this vital health stuff is why you shouldn’t have pets as props.

      I will judge any person who gets their cats declawed. If you care about cats it’s well known that it’s mutilation. No excuse.

      I mean I know able bodied wealthy celebrities live in a world of having their ass wiped for them (metaphorically and literally in some cases) so they aren’t used to thinking independently, but a cursory Google would’ve told you that.

      Who is declawing cats in 2026?? It’s horrible for them. My baby was declawed by her previous owner and would freak if you touched her paws. I miss her so much

      I heard that cats getting declawed is like the equivalent of humans getting their toes chopped off. I understand she was misadvised, however everytime you look up declawing, the conversation on how awful it is pops up, so im wondering if she even did any research herself?

      I’ve never owned a cat and I knew this as late as my 20s. I had a crazy ex who wanted to declaw his ROOMMATES cat for destroying an ugly rug. I was quite disturbed. She didn’t want her furniture destroyed and she’s lying.

      Of course her rich ass would declaw her cat to protect her furniture. Cat scratches don’t really hurt they’re just annoying…… ignorant rich people make me sick

      Y’all we need to generally stop chopping off parts of our pets for our convenience. Let them keep their claws, ears, tails and wings. It has always baffled me how casual some people are about just cutting off parts of their pets for no reason? Like, if it’s injured beyond repair, sure, but leave perfectly healthy tissue **alone**!

      My cat was declawed before I got her and it has caused her a lot of issues, including severe anxiety. She is very fearful because she’s defenseless. She also can’t walk normally and has problems using the litter box.

      She’s sitting next to me and purring right now, she’s a sweetheart and I love her so much, I wish she was never declawed.

      My neighbors hat her cats declawed but still let them roam around outside. One ended up getting attacked by a dog and dying. The cat could not defend itself against the dog. That cat also often would tease the dog, so it was not shocking that the dog went after it one day. The neighbor could have atleast kept the cats inside after declawing them.

      We also had coyotes roaming the neighbourhood at night.

      Yeah I’m not buying that she didn’t know. I think she didn’t *want to know*. The Kardashians love playing dumb to get away with shitty behavior.

      Yeah, because you need advice on this topic…because it’s not fucking obviously a cruel thing to do. This family is a plague on society

      I agree, she should have known and done actual, real research here. But on OTOH I am really glad she’s using her platform to share this, because, for better or worse, she does have a huge reach and influence and maybe people will see this and it will stop more cats from being mutilated.
