Love the left one. Very creepy vibe, and very RE vibe. Love the shadows and the use of color. The right one is… well, random post-apocaliptic poster.

The first aid kit is a nice touch.
They really try to go for a survival horror vibe

the left one is quite nice. you can kinda see the umbrella logo but it’s not too explicit
I hope they have extinction type weapons. Double barrel sawed off using quarters lol
Considering the creative team, I’ve no doubt this will be a decent zombie movie with some fun nods for fans.
I’m just not sure how much this will really feel like a Resident Evil movie without the story or characters of the games – outside of a human engineered virus, Umbrella and I don’t know, maybe Racoon City? What really _is_ Resident Evil?
It’s following the same idea as that Fallout TV series I suppose but Fallout is very much its own thing, Biohazard/Resident Evil is just a very Japanese take on Zombie/Haunted House tropes.
I didn’t like barbarian and thought weapons was ok. I have also yet to see a good resident evil movie (the animated ones are ok).
That said, it can’t be worse than the ones that have come before it. This director has some creative ideas, even if they don’t land with me. It could be great.
The speed with which Cregger put this film together is wild. Dude was making the rounds doing interviews for Weapons last august and Resident Evil wasn’t even announced yet.
Decent posters, they’re just not really Resident Evil are they? You can have the title all you want, but without Leon or Claire or, you know, the events of the games playing out on screen, you’re just not Resident Evil at all. I watched Weapons before I watched Barbarian. If I watched Barbarian first, I wouldn’t have watched Weapons without seeing the reviews of it first. This movie is feeling like another Barbarian to me
Faithful or not, this looks fucking badass.
Day one. Just don’t mess it up, please.
