      The entertainment company behind the Peanuts animated television series accused the Interior Department of using a song from “A Charlie Brown Christmas” in social media posts without permission.

      Lee Mendelson Film Productions Inc., which owns the iconic “O Tannenbaum” composition, said in a complaint filed Wednesday that the department issued a “digital greeting card” just before Christmas last year. 

      Links to the card posted to X, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram were removed weeks later, but the card remains available online, Mendelson Film told the US Court of Federal Claims.

    2. I mean, good, this needs to happen more, but also it’s just going to be money out of the pockets of people already being highly taxed while the fuckers who actually should be taking fiscal responsibility don’t.
