Just rewatched this movie and forgot how mindblowingly good it was put together.
I remember watching this upon release and being completely amazed, I'd never seen anything like it before. As gen-x/millennial I was used to being served an action movie formula of exaggerated, high octane, explosive action that often sacrificed character development and/or a realistic plotline.
if you haven't seen it, I'd highly recommend it.

the biggest surprise for me when it came out, was Matt Damon having fights – he was not that kind of guy at the time!
The whole series slaps. One of my favorite scenes from Ultimatum:
Where are you right now?
I’m in my office.
Oh, I doubt that.
Why do you doubt that?
Because if you were in your office, we’d be having this conversation face to face.
I may have driven slightly recklessly going home after first seeing this in the theater
