Romeo and Juliet will be staged in Central Park this summer for free. In this bold new staging, the play unfolds in English, but Romeo and Juliet speak to one another in Spanish, a language reserved for their shared world.
While it doesn’t exempt R&J’s behavior from being problematic, I like the artistic interpretation this presents. I hope I get to see what ppl think of it

I really hope I can get tickets. I’ve been hoping to see this since they announced it a few months ago.

I got a Shakespeare in the park ticket just BARELY once from waiting in the central park line for forever. I don’t think i can do that again especially with people getting even crazier these days with camping out for lines.
