Disney’s attempt to create their own pulp hero movie after the success of Tim Burton’s Batman. Universal had The Shadow. Paramount had The Phantom. Disney had Dick Tracy (via Touchstone Pictures.)

Would love to see this a 4K restoration of this. One of the most gorgeous and unique looking adaptations of all time.

A movie that really evaporated from the public conscious.

Warren Beatty’s obsession with Dick Tracy is so weird.

If you could get Josh Brolin in a Dick Tracy outfit you would just be printing money.

Sure this wasn’t the “Untouchables”? Cause he should have been touched by some of those bullets.

I remember when I saw that in the theaters I was left disappointed that the film kills off more than a dozen villains from Tracy’s Rogues Gallery. It’d kinda be like having a Batman film where Joker, Catwoman, Penguin, Two-Face, Riddler, Bane, Scarecrow, Clayface, etc. all die.

Do I need to watch this again? I saw it in the theatre when I was 12 and didn’t like it. Never watched it again. Then Warren showed up in Madonna’s Truth or Dare documentary cause I guess they were dating. The world is weird.

Sucks that Beaty is such an ass about the rights.

This is perhaps the only movie where I saw the good guy smoke his whole rogue’s gallery of bad guys. And I loved every minute of it.
