It would be one thing if Stephen was leaving and a younger person was getting a chance to have one of these jobs that are — as someone who’s experienced it — so exciting to have. So just in general, I think it’s a very sad week for television in America.”

      > “I’m also very optimistic that Stephen’s next chapter is going to be exciting for him and for the rest of us. I think he’s been slow-playing this as what his next step was going to be for years and I’m very excited it’s going to happen.”

Feels weird that “America’s dad who hates fascists” is signing off. I’m definitely rewatching the Trump monologue era this week, feels like required viewing for closure.

    3. Two things can be true, Trump is a pedo POS.

Also, no one cared about Cobert “A Very Sad Week For Television In America”, can ppl please stop acting like it was culturally relevant or even good late night television, Lol

Dasani water of Late Night Television, it existed but was aggressively bland.

I don’t think Stephen Colbert was adding much to American television anyway. Bad to see him go but late night TV commentary is just diminished in face of what Youtube, Instagram and TikTok provide to the target audience.
