They already made this movie and called it Cinderella 3.

For once the original is more optimistic than the Disney version. In Perrault’s ending she forgives her sisters and finds them rich husbands.
Oh boy. Another version of a fairytale where the villains aren’t so bad, and the heroes aren’t so good, turning the traditional tale on its head. Glad we haven’t seen this 100 times since 2010.

The Disney version of this same setup has the director of The Naked Gun, which has me hoping the whole thing is just a Naked Gun style pisstake.

I enjoy a good fairy tale twist, but as others have pointed out, this just sounds like Cinderella 3.
