I just want to have a good time, and the uniqueness of “Scary Movie” is being bad can work in its favor. It doesn’t have to actually be good for me to have a good time. It is how I feel about the other films.
Except Scary Movie 5. That was complete dogshit. But at least here I can have fun seeing Anna, Regina, and the Wayans back.

I juat want a funny movie making fun of horror movies. Ya know like Scary Movie.
I still find it wild that this series iconic image is literally just a killer from another satirical film franchise.

Just saw the trailer and damn it looked rough.. i loved scary movie, but this feels overdone
These are all pretty funny. Reddit’s going to hate this movie regardless, since the narrative has already been set, but it genuinely seems alright if you can detach from the hive mind.
It’s unfortunate the direction Reddit is headed though. Basically every movie/series will be “disappointing”, “mid”, “trash”, once it reaches a a certain level of hype. Happens EVERY time.
The only content that gets the Reddit approval are:
-old shows/movies we enjoyed in childhood (Avatar TLA, Soomegbob, Shrek). BUT any continuation/reboots of these will be ridiculed.
-anime. BUT it can’t get too popular (unless it’s edgy like JJK or ChainsawMan. Light heated or simple animes are “mid” (Demon Slayer/ My Hero Academia)
-artsy shows/films which critics enjoy. These can range from A24 films to animes like Frieren.
-the early seasons of a TV show, but NEVER the conclusion.
I gotta watch everything that this is gonna make fun of. I’ve seen most of them but I gotta catch up!
I hope they parody the scariest movie made this decade about a disturbed monster, the Michael biopic.
I feel like the time to parody Ma and Nope ended quite a while ago
Hopefully it will be the **Naked Gun Reboot** of 2026. Really enjoyed that film.
