    1. I also love that people used to come up with all these highfalutin interpretations of the story and Webber kept saying: „Guys, it’s a musical about cats. That’s it.“

As if this dweeb isn’t largely responsible for the movie taking the shape it did. Find me a less tasteful pairing than ALW and Tom Hooper

I love that Andrew Lloyd Weber hates the Cats movie so much because I agree with him so much!! I fucking love cats and musicals and that movie was a fucking nightmare. I could sit and bitch about that one for hours too.

This is the purest hatred I’ve seen in musical theatre since the way Sondheim talked about “I Feel Pretty”.

I wish Mo Rocca had just let him go off on his “very, very long list” for sheer entertainment value alone

Cats cannot be made into a movie. The 98 recording is fine enough.

I’m going to say it, as someone who loved Cats the musical, I loved Cats the movie. Yes the CGI was horrifying. Yes the costuming and makeup was a disaster. Yes, certain people should not have been cast as major roles. But the PERFORMANCES of the ensemble cast and frankly all the professional dancers and singers were all so deeply amazing and passionate and it makes me sad to think that their work in this film is so overlooked.

And it is the skill and passion of the ensemble cast that makes me love this movie. They danced and sang their HEARTS out and they danced and sang AMAZINGLY. To say nothing of how I feel like it’s fitting and fun that a movie of this specific musical is highkey batshit xD

I only saw Cats once when my school did it, and my god it pissed me off. From what I recall, there was no story, it was just a bunch of cats introducing themselves for hours. I’m not surprised it didn’t work as a film, but I am surprised ALW wrote it in the first place and that people seem to absolutely adore it.

    9. Burlesque cat Taylor Swift shaking her cat titties is somehow traumatic, tasteless, and hilarious at the same time. It’s truly one of the most wild artistic choices anyone has ever made.

So his dog is called Mojito, and runs about the office like he owns the place.
