I love this show so much and it randomly getting new episodes every decade was a nice surprise both times! It’s one of the best comedies that barely anyone watched but it’s a real treat so give it a shot if you haven’t.
The Comeback was an amazing show, I’m shocked I never saw it mentioned until the promotion for this new season started. It has stood the test of time, you can see the quality in it. It was written with love, smartly, by people with passion. If your like me, one of those people who put HBO on a pedestal for being a high quality marker, and love good stories with interesting details, watch this damn show. Valerie has so much range, she’ll make you cry from laughing and cry from depression. This show also has interesting characters, Paulie G and Mickie and Billy, just all around intriguing and memorable shit.
It was clearly not the plan to be made this way, a season every decade, but that’s how it all shook out and it makes it so unique. Each season is based on an industry changing event. First is reality tv, second is streaming, this new one is AI.
