This cements how Jodie Comer has replaced Emily Blunt. This was meant for Blunt when this was supposed to be a movie.

Excited for this! I think it will translate really well to a limited series. I enjoyed the book, super fast read with lots of intense moments and it sparked some fun conversations in a “what would you do?” type way.
Plot, for those who are unfamiliar:
Main character discovers one day that her daughter has been kidnapped and she is now unwillingly part of “The Chain.” The only way to free her daughter is to kidnap another child, who she will have to hold until that family kidnaps a child – all continuing the chain.

One of my favourite actors and one of my favourite show runners? I am IN.

“Limited Series”.
For now?
Though given Lindelof’s recent TV work, every season finale can easily double as a series finale.

I read this book a few months back. It’s an incredible premise. It can definitely make for a very exciting season, but there were also moments that strained credibility pretty far, and got slightly more ridiculous as the story went on. Kind of a change for him, no scifi/genre elements at all, it’s pure pulp, but if this is what Lindelof wants to do, I’m fully on board. It’ll be really interesting to see if he gives it The Leftovers treatment and expands beyond the book for more seasons. It has a pretty cut and dry ending so he’d have to change some stuff to make it possible.

I like all of the words in this headline, I’m already in without reading the article.

Just get ready for a lot to be absolutely ambiguous. Lindelof hates you.

Very excited for this, but I’m still pissed Amazon canceled his show Mrs. Davis. It was such a weird, crazy, cooky show, but damn I loved every second of it.

The Chain as in the book? With Comer? And Lindelof? Oh I’m so sat

Damon Lindelof can not complete a story. Look at his track record. Just random plot threads everywhere with no conclusion. PASS

If it’s Lindelof, I’m there for it. Lost, The Leftovers and Watchmen were all elite.
