What year is this?
It’s cheap and old people stick with what they know.
Because it’s more game show than reality show.
Probably that it costs $30M to make but brings in $70M on the low end
The 1st person kicked off the 1st island was a navy Marines vet. In a real deserted island you keep that guy. I said f this and never looked and the thing again.
They basically make a situation with real people into a story, and they never run out of characters.
Season 50, not year 50. Misleading.
Never seen and have zero interest to change that.
Cheapening out from 39 to 27 days, using the same boring location over and over, and giving ham and cheese sandwiches as reward prizes lol
It was pretty fucking crazy how much of a stranglehold Survivor had on American culture in the early 2000s. They found a sweet spot in the late 2000s/early 2010s but ever since they started just doing the show Fiji it’s fallen off hard.
I like how they don’t even bother changing locations and have the exact same 3 challenges for the last 20 seasons.
It’s so durable cuz Boomers started watching it when it first aired and now they just sleep with the tv on, boosting ratings.
