Ridiculous behaviour. There are so many ways to have fun at concerts that don’t involve lobbing shit at the performers

Horrible behavior by that ‘fan’ – he should be banned from concerts.
Get well soon.

Obviously, it’s dangerous to do something like that but it’s also just so rude and inconsiderate. Did they think Oli was going to pick up their phone, record himself performing and somehow return it? It’s very “Main Character Syndrome”.

Trying to see what is worse, theatre ettiquette or concert ettiquette because who the fuck throws a phone at someone’s head.
Anyway I love Bring Me the Horizon so hoping for a speedy recovery for Mr. Sykes.

Saw some posts saying the fan grabbed someone else’s phone because they keep on recording the sets

Evidently the audience member felt the performance was phoned in

From [this thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/Metalcore/s/ad1kiEjE7S) on r/metalcore, seems like someone was filming a bunch of the show, so someone else took their phone from them and threw it. I hate the crowds full of phones at shows now too but throwing shit on stage has always been fucking terrible concert etiquette.

Poor Oli, concussions are rough, mild or not. He’s a real one for going through it all afterwards, respect to him! Hopefully it’s not a long recovery.
What is with people these days? Have some respect for the people performing the show.

Eric Clapton got hit by a vinyl record the other day and walked off stage and didn’t come back out for the encore. So, one person’s actions hurts everyone else.
Why do people do this? Why pay money to see an artist and then assault them? These people need to be arrested for assault each and every time because this has to stop.

This is lame af, i would not pay money to hurt someone can u imagine someone throwing a phone at Beyonce? c’mon lets all do better and remember celebrities are people too.

And that’s when I’d stop the concert, bring up the house lights, lock the doors, find the person who did it and make sure they are legally punished.

i am NOT trying to blame artists for this. because this started innocent enough.
but every artist needs to stop videoing themselves when people throw their phones on the stage and tossing it back in the crowd.
smash them and toss them to the back of the stage. because this is only encouraging people to lob their fucking mini bricks at artists while on stage
