the way that shell just grazes the turret in slow mo looks sick as hell.

the over pressure of a tank shell whizzing by your face that close would liquefy your brain and suck it out your ears and eye sockets. I guess they didn’t want to show that though. 0:43

It’s a Russian propaganda movie, but it’s a well made Russian propaganda movie.

This seems like overuse of the slow motion, but it’s a montage of every slow motion clip used in the movie.

The story: A captured Russian tank crew are assigned to man a T-34 tank to act as practice dummies for a German tank crew. They find a few live rounds hidden in a compartment that the Germans missed and use those to escape prison.

It was made on a budget of about $8.8 million US. (If you watch the movie, it makes you wonder how the hell Netflix spent $450M on Stranger Things season 5.)

Not the greatest movie ever, but if you’re sitting at home and aren’t doing anything, it’s worth a watch.

I’m sorry, but that shit looks terrible. The slow mo usage was exhausting, and the CGI just looks silly.

As someone who used to play World of Tanks a decade ago, I do love seeing those glancing shots off the armour in slow motion.

In short, the film tells about the crew of the T-34 tank, the most technologically advanced tank of the USSR. Basically Fast and Furious on tanks. In Russia, the film received negative reviews due to its ridiculous plot, unhistorical nature and poor acting, especially by Alexander Petrov (Imagine that Ryan Gosling thinks he is Leonardo DiCaprio, you will get Petrov, the most ridiculed actor in Russia).
