Incredible director who made some big hits with Eddie.
My favorite piece from him though is “Beyond the Mat”. He was given an all access pass to cover pro-wrestling during the 90s and made an Oscar worthy film.
It is worth a watch, especially for those that were into The Attitude Era and ECW
Never even heard of this guy but turns out I’ve seen his stuff hundreds of times. I wore out the VHS tapes of Eddie Murphy Best of SNL and Coming to America when I was a kid. I still watch CtA several times a year. The fact that he was already suffering from Parkinson’s when writing C2A completely absolves him of any wrong doing IMO. RIP legend.
