I enjoyed S2 far more than S1 but the biggest issue with this show has always been the pacing.

Both seasons could’ve benefited by having fewer episodes, I wouldn’t mind seeing someone take a crack at making movie version edits of the show.

    2. I love lord of the rings. The books, movies and the lore.

I feel like this show was made for a different audience which is a bummer but it is what it is.

Years from now they will study this in business entertainment school as sunk cost fallacy.

    4. I didn’t make it past ep 4 of season 1, but I guess there’s an audience for this…

I’m excited but apparently reddit says I can’t enjoy things 🤷

Hopefully they rehired the guy who writes awful stories, dialogue, and characters!

    7. Reportedly the first two seasons were written before the first season aired and the third season has a new writers room, including writers from The Crown, Coronation Street and The Great.

I think the show found its footing in the second season with Sauron being revealed to the audience after the first season invested too much into the mystery of who he is. Annatar and Celebrimbor story was top notch, but the rest of the show suffered from having too many side plots that I hope will be merged moving forward. Politics in Numenor in particular were poorly written and will be quite important moving forward. And please, no more hobbits. They have no role to play in this story and their inclusion feels like an executive mandate.
