> This is the second spinoff in The Rookie franchise, following The Rookie: Feds, starring Niecy Nash, which aired for one season in 2022-23.
Television is in such a wild place these days.

I’m convinced that spin off shows like this and the Chicago franchise are part of some type of money laundering because how do these shows get picked up all the time?

Having already renewed all its current scripted series, ABC is officially expanding its scripted portfolio next season with The Rookie: North. The network has picked up a spinoff of The Rookie, titled The Rookie: North for the 2026-27 season. The Rookie: North was one of two pilots ABC ordered this development cycle. The other pilot, a comedy titled Do You Want Kids? was passed over. The Rookie: North is produced by Lionsgate Television in partnership with 20th Television. Lionsgate Television will distribute the series internationally

I feel like the producers forgot a large part of why The Rookie was successful to begin with was because Nathan Fillion was the lead.

What in the AI Article is this? I’m trying to figure out where it will take place and after reading the same sentence rewritten 5 times it said Pierce County Police Department – followed by the first sentence rewritten again. Any idea what state this takes place in?

Since Nathan is EP I thought The Rookie: North. Was gonna be like *north north*. As in Edmonton Alberta north.

What if it’s like 9-1-1 Nashville? I love 9-1-1 but when 9-1-1 Nashville was released a lot of people didn’t like it. I hope The Rookie North isn’t like that
