That Texas Attorney General should look up all the flock cameras they are putting up – spying on their constituents and collecting their data without knowledge or consent

Any lawsuit against one algorithm using company would inevitably open them all up to lawsuits and penalties. Which is why I don’t see this going anywhere.

Republicans: Let businesses do what they want stop with government control or regulations
Also Republicans: Why are these companies spying on us? We should do something

This by the way is just a Trojan horse for republicans wanting to drag Netflix through the mud for “DEI” and “trans ideology” because of their catalogue. This has literally nothing to do with spyware and data collection.

Since when Ken Paxton, or Texas GOP for that matter, care about “*addictive*” and “*spying*” companies ?
I wonder what is really behind this ? Did Netflix said no to Palantir ?

>Collecting Their Data Without Knowledge Or Consent
Someone hasn’t read Netflix’s Terms of Service or EULA.
I hate companies collecting data but they all say they do somewhere in the fine print. This will go to a judge, Netflix will show the terms of service, and the case will be dismissed.
