Wordle is basically the same as the game show Lingo from the 80s so this is full circle

I’m sure I already saw this on air recently. Maybe they didn’t use the name, but it was the same game.

It’s just Lingo which was already a gameshow. The game show network used to be so good back then. Lingo, Russian Roulette, Friend or Foe. I miss those days.

This sounds like something that would happen in the mid to early 2010s.

Hosted by Savannah Guthrie. Guess she’s done looking for her mom.

Call me when they finally put Homonym or Gold Case into production. Or better yet, MILF Island

Is Wordle still popular enough for this? I know it was huge around COVID.
Feel like I haven’t heard the name ‘wordle’ in quite some time…

I feel like Connections would make for a way more fun game show.

Call me when they make a Wordle action movie, ala Battleship (2012).

This will last two seasons

I’m so curious what producers and the network aim towards in terms of ratings and viewership with shows like these, especially nowadays. Do they plan on trying to cater to the 65+ demographic as a syndicated daytime show? (Or even primetime TV show at this point?) Obviously shows like Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune are cultural mainstays at this point, but how do game shows with seemingly very little premise stay on the air? Especially with something like Wordle, it’s going to get stale fast, so they’re going to have to come up with different variations to keep it fresh. (Something that people on Tiktok and Youtube have been doing for years at this point).
