Who knew the future would just be an algorithm hellscape everywhere you look?
I just don’t get why the new rating system was by “number of wookies in it” when they don’t even own the rights.
They don’t even have categories anymore on the PS app. Canceled my account once that happened.
Netflix is awful.
I won’t be surprised if they eventually remove the search function too.
But why?
They make it so hard to discover new things that even if their catalogue is 1000 titles deep, when browsing it feels like it’s just maybe 50 tops. And if none of those 50 interest me, there is no reason to keep my subscription.
They want to hide the fact they barely have anything on there compared to other places.
I plan on canceling Netflix and telling others to too. The selection is poor and the constant ads are horrible. I refuse to pay extra for no ads. I am already paying for a service – Why can’t you make margins from your customers’ payments??
How have I ended up in a situation where I pay to watch a movie but end up still pirating it because it’s faster and easier to pull up while somehow also being higher quality video and audio wise.
Highschool me would be pretty damn confused.
Quit after like 20 years. It absolutely has the least to offer out of all of them, and intentionally degrading your UI so you can then go “we heard your voice, we listened, that’s why we’re introducing the new filter+ system” so they get a stock bump in 3 months is so craven.
This feels like something they’re doing so you can’t say “uhhh why’d they get rid of that”
Well fuck them.
I’m so happy I stopped using this garbage. Now we have to wait for YouTube to remove all it’s searching features, like how they removed sorting by upload date a couple of months ago.
I hate this world sometimes man
