Everybody still has the same job after all those years, although Kirk is an Admiral – which is admirable- so he’s doing alright.

Finally watched this scene on my projector, and the scope of watching the Enterprise approaching spacedock is just jaw dropping. And Horner’s score gives you absolute chills.

And after all these years it’s still one of my favorite Star Trek movies, it is though sometimes a little unfairly maligned because it sits between Wrath of Khan and The Voyager Home, but I feel that these three make up an awesome trilogy.

I think this is the first time we see the spacedock in the movies. My jaw dropped when I saw this as a kid ( watched it on HBO In the 90s I think )

ILM did such an incredible job in this movie, would have been interesting to see them make the Star Wars prequels with this level of quality.

I like all treks but I miss real models… be amazing if one day they did it as a retro look.
