I remember when I was a kid and rented this from Blockbuster thinking this was a new Puppet Master movie. I was very disappointed there were no evil dolls when I watched it.

    2. I laughed way too hard at the cops just chilling while hanging off the car door.

I enjoyed this enough that I went out and got the book. It was written in 1951 and it shows.

    4. There are so many things to love here:

      1. Memories of when everyone thought silencers made piffy laser noises for some reason
      2. Sutherland trying to play it cool for the receptionist who was sitting just feet away from a massive commotion of yelling and gunshots
      3. Sutherland’s monotone ADR’d lines like “That’s the boy from the spaceship!”

      Chef’s kiss

if it weren’t for that 1 second shot at 4:23, I wouldn’t have even known John Munch was in the car with them the whole time. Did the editors forget he was there or something?

I read this book in high school and shared it with my friends. After that our standard greeting was to pat each others back.

I remember being quite impressed with this when it came out. Some parts might feel a bit obvious or dated now, but I loved how the character played by Julie Warner opens her blouse a little more to test the man at the desk because it’s a callback to an earlier scene where she points out that Sam had looked her up and down when they first met.

I need to get the Blu-Ray of this. I thought it was good, and I’d like to see how it holds up.

That was brilliantly shit, the car scene should have gone on for half an hour.
