I sent them an email back when they were doing the podcast. They have an opportunity to really take the gloves off and explain what limitations their shows really has as far as their owners and they’re involvement. The corporate foot on the neck… We all know s Colbert’s and Jimmy’s.
Back at the time, I would have said John Oliver had the easiest. But with that merger, it doesn’t appear that way anymore. Hbo has a long history of great journalism and documentaries. Free to tell stories that other networks wouldn’t… Not so much now.
