  1. The move comes after a viral rant she made on May 2 at the Dallas date at the Dos Equis Pavilion, where she was booed during a rant which included lines like, ““I’ve been canceled for many reasons. I never thought I would be canceled for being a brown Republican voter.”

Cudi announced her depatrure on May 4 via Instagram, where he wrote, “TOUR UPDATE: M.I.A is no longer on this tour. I told my management to send a notice to her team before we started tour that I didn’t want anything offensive at my shows, cuz I already knew what time it was, and I was assured things were understood. After the last couple shows, I’ve been flooded with messages from fans that were upset by her rants. This, to me, is very disappointing and I wont have someone on my tour making offensive remarks that upsets my fanbase. Thank you for understanding. Rager.”

  2. She has been an outspoken Anti-Vaxer MAGA shill idiot for years. He knew that when he invited her.

I saw M.I.A open for Kid Cudi Friday night in Austin. She was terrible. One of the worst performances I have ever seen from a known artist. She was mumbling about God and politics between several so so songs. Her backup “dancers” were four people holding up gold tassel decorations you would buy at Party City. At the end of her set she called for girls to come dance on stage with her. It took waaaay too long to get anyone up there. After the stage was finally populated with fans dancing (including twerking which MIA seemed to want to stop) the stage mic and audio was cut as they ended MIAs set. Never even played Paper Planes but by that point, I was OK with it.

Booting her from the tour is no big loss for Kid Cudi fans.

  4. Hiring her in the first place is wild, obviously this is exactly what she was going to do.

It was M.I.A. he should’ve know better. She can’t keep her mouth shut, like most people with moronic opinions

My main question for Kudi would be why was she part of the tour to begin with? She had a cool song years ago and her inclusion in his tour took away from some other up and coming artist he could have amplified.

So he sat there- thought of her and said to himself ‘yes- she’ll make a great addition to the tour’?? I mean-he’s on the same planet as us and has met her so what the fuck he thought would happen.

MIA!? This is incredibly heartbreaking. She was so fucking rad back in the day.

Good for him. Its not even that its MAGA rant. People at a concert to chill and enjoy music.

I think it sucks when any concert where people paid a fortune for tickets, has to listen to some political lecture. Not appropriate forum. Quick comment? Sure whatever but a lecture or rant? No.

  10. “I’ve been canceled for many reasons. I never thought I would be canceled for being a brown Republican voter.”

She is not an American citizen and therefore not an American voter or a Republican. What an idiot.

Mixing business and political statements is almost never a great idea. You’re always going to be sacrificing a percentage of your fans/customers/clients.

  12. he has a team of idiots behind him if he had no idea she’d pull a stunt like this lol.

Definitely glad Cudi made the right decision quickly. I know a few people here say he should have know better but if I’m being honest I didn’t realize she had gone looney tunes. Only know her from the Pineapple Express song.

    >Republican **voter**

She’s not even close to being American. Who’s going to call USCIS?

  15. If she never thought she’d be cancelled for that she’s very very stupid.
