Call me when we’re adapting Bubsy or Gex.
Have a feeling Amazon MGM will throw everything they can at this to secure the win
Will the little birds also be extremely overpowered in the movie too??
Who the hell wants this to be made
Damn that script from McQuarrie must be damn good.
If Warner win, Paramount could be able to make a crossover with Call of Duty.
No thanks.
> Warner Bros. Discovery
So Paramount-Warner Bros would have both Call of Duty and Battlefield as movie franchises if they won?
Amazon makes absolute garbage, so hopefully not them.
The big war games have to be the most boring big games to adapt right? I hope it lets Jordan make 12 more interesting things after at least.
These games have no overarching storyline or characters as far as I know, it’s just military porn in generic, random locations. There isn’t even any specific time period, as each game takes place during randomly selected moments in history, present day, and future.
No specific setting, no characters, no plot. A true blank slate. What even is the point of “adapting” this?
Is it going to be good? Probably not
Is it going to get parents to bring under 16yo’s to the theater? Yes, and thats why they want it. Because one person wanting to see it likely doubles the return at minimum
How would a battlefield movie be any different from any other war movie?
Why fight so hard for a movie no one is asking for?
At least cod has recognizable characters and memorable set pieces. You could easily turn the original mw trilogy into films, you could do black ops, you could even do zombies.
Wtf would a battlefield movie even look like besides a generic action movie. And everyone hoping it’ll be bad company is delusional.
