There’s not a lot that’s genuinely confirmed yet. I haven’t found any information on when they’ll be released (I’ve seen both June and/or July), how they will be issued (like if it’s ALL passports or just a batch), and just how “limited” a run it will be.
Knowing Trump, I wouldn’t be surprised if this was a run that people paid extra for, with the money somehow going to his “presidential campaign” (aka slush fund). Then again, this could be the new design for passports going forward under the guise of it being “limited”.

“The State Department will begin to issue the passports this summer. It is unclear how many will be issued or whether a recipient will have to request the “specially designed” passport.”
It seems that not every passport issued will have this design.
