Absolute casting, phenomenal acting, absolute scores by Hans, and a great flashback of that era of racing! One of the best automative racing movies!

Rush really nails it, sometimes your greatest advantage isn’t just your talent but a rival who refuses to let you stay average, the friction is the force that forges what you couldn’t have built alone.

What I love about this scene is that it quietly kills the “hero vs villain” framing the movie sets up early — by the end, they’re basically the only two people who fully understand what the other sacrificed to live that way. Lauda’s little half-smile says more than most sports movies manage in an entire speech.

Most distracted preflight ever.

It’s one of my favorite endings to any movie. Perfectly captures their unique individual qualities/wants in life while also showcasing their love for each other even through a bitter rivalry. I know the movie presents them more as adversaries while in real life they were much closer, but I’ll let it slide for such a fantastic film

Not sure why this movie hasn’t received the lasting accolades it deserves. It’s so well done.
