25 years later and it still feels fresher than half the stuff coming out now. Shrek really walked in, roasted every fairytale trope, dropped a killer soundtrack, and left.
Also kind of wild that this is the movie that basically proved animated films could be for everyone, not just kids.
Not even nostalgia talking… it actually holds up.

Maybe its just me, but films from the “pre-9/11 but post-2000” window (so not quite 20 months) have a particular aura to them that I cannot really put to words.

Love the Movie but hate that they are giving this a 4DX release instead of the Top Gun Anniversary.
