    What is an album cover that was so bad it haunts you?


    I will go first. For me, it’s the Eenie Meenie cover with Sean Kington and Justin Bieber. It’s my FAVORITE JB feature and the cover sends me so bad every time I play it. It genuinely looks like Scooter blasted it out in Pic Art when he was drunk. It sends me every time. Like holy shit is it bad.

    A close second would be the Bang Bang cover for Ariana Grande, Nicki and Jessie J. They literally took screenshots from music videos and random photo shoots and spliced them together 😭

      You asked about album covers but only mentioned single covers. Given the reach of single covers compared to album covers, it makes *much* more sense when the former are mediocre compared to the latter.

      Gucci Mane’s mixtape covers are both horrendous and glorious. Just go look up Trap Story.

      Not necessarily a “worst album cover”, but I absolutely hate when they plaster a massive “parental advisory” warning on the art itself. I could understand back in the day with CD’s (even though it should’ve been a sticker placed on the jewel case and not a part of the actual cover/booklet itself), but in the day of digital music/streaming services where you can easily tag things, it should not still be a thing.

      Prime example: The Fame Monster by Lady Gaga, an otherwise beautiful artwork that is ruined by the tag.

      Oh my LORDT. How were some of these so bad?! Like, these are not album covers from a guy who forces his CD into your hands on the sidewalks of Las Vegas and then demands $20. These were legit pop stars!

      A single cover not album, but Jennifer Lopez – *Us*

      Looks like a default cover art you’d see on something like Windows Media Player for a file that was missing an actual cover. Considering she’s an artist who loves a head shot for a cover, this just makes the song look like she wasn’t even in on the release and when it came out in 2018 I honestly thought this was a placeholder cover and a real one would be added by the end of the week. 8 years later and it’s still there.
