>In July 2004, the ending of The Bourne Supremacy was reshot, two weeks before its release. Director Paul Greengrass and star Matt Damon came up with a new idea that would cost $200K and involve pulling Damon from the set of Ocean’s 12 (2004) The movie tested ten points higher than the original ending did.

Wow that ending was terrible and also stupid. Like they just left him in his room with barely any security on the outside, none on the inside and a easily escapable window? New ending was amazing. Glad they had the epiphany in time.

Him lying down in the snow would’ve become a meme, for sure.

The only thing I liked better about this ending is that it included Nicky. I was a bit baffled that she just disappeared from the movie after Bourne interrogated her.
Other than that, >!“Get some rest Pam. You look tired.”!< is a much better ending by quite a margin. Bourne speed walking away and blending in with the general public in NYC was also better than him just vanishing when the bus passes by.

That’s astonishing, the theatrical ending is perfect to the extent that I wouldn’t have been surprised if the whole film had been written backwards from it.
The longer these films age the better they get.
So many scenes and lines have lived in my head for years.

“Look what they make you give”
Well fuck.
Now I have to watch the whole trilogy again.
