A Republican-appointed Virginia judge has struck down the Democratic-backed redistricting amendment in full, ruling it unconstitutional and “void from the start.” All votes from the April 21 special election are now invalid. AG Jay Jones says he will file an appeal.

Voting was not easy this time. I had to bring my toddler with me and my polling place is the same library that does toddler storytime, except that it wasn’t during storytime, and… try explaining that to an autistic three year old. This same judge tried the same thing before (twice) and was overturned by the VA Supreme Court. It’s not over.
