It’s nice to see another movie about a DC villain, that isn’t the fucking Joker.

he looks like an oddly coincidental mix of Guy Pearce and Michael Fassbender

> The cast also includes Naomi Ackie, Max Minghella, Eddie Marsan and David Dencik.
> Release Date: October 23rd
> Tom Rhys Harries stars as Matt Hagen, an actor whose face is disfigured, while Naomie Ackie will play the scientist he turns to for help.
> The film is described as a full-on body-horror take, similar to Cronenberg’s The Fly.
> The photo, officially released by the studio today, is intentionally framed as a piece of the film’s world, establishing Hagen’s public persona before his transformation.

I’m excited about this movie because it seems so out of the realm of “connected comic book movies” and we don’t really know too much about it but it also needs to fit back into the universe, so we will see how it does that.

Looks vaguely like he belongs in the Tim “The Tool Man” Taylor household. The prodigal son, perhaps, whose tragedy is partly about him obsessively redirecting his father’s “do it yourself” home improvement ethos toward his own vanity/film career.

I won’t come in with my Sony “Spiderman-movies-without-Spiderman’ bias to hate this film, but it’s hard to have high levels of excitement. I’m glad it’s coming out during October so it can at least be a good Halloween vibe.

Wait so its not the charector Basil Karlo? This is a different Clayface?

I hope this is good, but it’s painfully obvious that instead of starting completely clean with a clear roadmap for DC, James Gunn keeps giving the go-ahead on projects already well into development before he took over (Clayface, Lanterns, Peacemaker S2, Batman Part II).
Gives a very strange path forward for the brand. A Clayface movie before a Wonder Woman reboot? It’ll probably be good, but hard to drum up much excitement by going into the obscurer characters only three movies in.

My, that’s a beautiful face. I hope to see it in this movie and nothing bad will happen to it.

I love DC but hate horror so we’ll have to see which one wins out. Although if the horror is just disfiguration then it’s bearable

We technically already saw Clayface in the DCU, he was playing Xbox in Creature Commandos.
