From Studio 'Rebellion', owners of comic series '2000AD', and director Duncan Jones (Moon, Source Code, Mute, and Warcraft), comes a fully animated movie based on the 2000AD character of the same name; Rogue Trooper.
Set on the planet Nu-Earth, where a war of attrition between two factions the Norts and Southers, is being fought, a GI (Genetic Infantryman) named Rogue goes AWOL in order to track down a traitor General who had betrayed his side (the Southers) which led to a massacre of his fellow GIs.

Could be interesting. My only experience with Rogue Trooper is the PS2 shooter that released ages ago, which was fun.

I thought it was a some kind of remake of the first game, not expecting an animation. Hope it will be enjoyable.

why does it look graphically inferior to many video games using the same engine

Duncan Jones… Moon gives one hope, but Warcraft removes any semblance of it

Edit: Scratch that, it’s based on a comic, but it’s still pretty niche.
Also, it was animated using Unreal Engine 5.
