  1. Their visual design language already was as uninspired as A.I.

Look at the last Ant Man movie and tell me there’s anything artistic about it (not exclusively talking about that one bad guy )

People who go to the cinema to watch blockbuster films want to see quality movies. They don’t mind paying for the pleasure. Lose the quality you’ll lose the audience.

    Very interesting read.
I don’t know why I was reading so much information about the CGI department being hit by layoffs when that was not the case.
The visual development team being hit is very sad although I kinda understand from a corporate point of view. Marvel productions are going to be far less going forward with the new approach so like it says in the article, many people that were hired when Disney demanded marvel to put content on their platform are just not going to be needed anymore.
The same goes for any other department that had hirings in the last years.

What I don’t understand is why they would hit so hard a department that goes way back (20 years) and has been so important in the success of the franchise.

All in all is really sad that people are out of job now. Specially when they were so loyal to the company but that’s the case to any company in any country in the world. The sad reality is that corporations don’t give a shit about the professionals or anyone really.
