Iron Maiden won’t attend Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony. After 21 years of eligibility and two failed nominations, the heavy metal giants would rather play shows in Australia than celebrate their enshrinement in Los Angeles this fall. Who could blame them?

From what I understand, it’s pretty expensive for bands who are inducted to attend. They have to pay for a bunch of stull (like to reserve the table they’d sit at) so chalk that up as another reason not to go. I mean, I know the band can afford it, but just because they can pay, doesn’t mean they’d want to pay.

Why would any non-American band want to come to this shithole country right now? Especially considering they have to PAY to receive the award.

(They aren’t paying for the induction or inclusion, but rather their accommodations for the ceremony.)
