The post about the opening credits for Game of Thrones reminded me of the opening credits for Black Sails. They are pretty solid and engaging opening credits. Putting aside the actual shows themselves, what other shows have great opening credits?
All the Marvel Netflix shows had great opening credits. Even the ones I didn’t like at first grew on me.

[The Leftovers Season 2 & 3 opening](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLSH-81yT7s) is one of my all-time favorites. It perfectly communicates what the show is about in a beautiful way, and manages to be emotional and sad without being maudlin about it.

The new Apple series, Margo’s Got Money Troubles, has a creative & whimsical opening credits sequence.

Peacemaker. First time I saw it I was just, “What the heck is this?”

Twin Peaks may not fit the profile of most of these but if you skip the opening credits of any episode you risk not being in the right mood for it. It’s sort of meditative which is appropriate considering the guy David Lynch was.

Invincible’s cut away is so good
Dtf St Louis has a lovely tune, as a new show
I could reel off a shit load of anime, but it’s fair to say that almost every anime opening theme is a banger.

Crazy ex-girlfriend season 2.
I would have given Rachel Bloom an Emmy just for the last four seconds of it

Carnivale
BSG
Deadwood
Six Feet Under

Succession’s opening credits always got me hyped to watch a billionaire family continually stab each other in the backs.

I didn’t think the visuals were anything special like the two shows you mentioned, but the theme song for Firefly fits the show perfect and I always watched it. Plus, it wasn’t overly long.

The cbs show EVIL has an awesome intro. Very creepy.
X-Files is always good.
For less serious shows, I’ve always enjoyed The Golden Girls and The Nanny opening credits songs.
Severance, IT: Welcome to Derry, Dark, The Expanse, For all Mankind, Westworld and FROM.
American Horror Story – I think they’re the best opening credits ever, changing with every new season. Unfortunately they stopped doing these.
[Freak Show](https://youtu.be/fcIscQzEElw?is=ALYLd34ZgH_0GnLe) is my favorite season so I’ll link them, but they’re all fantastic and fit the respective season. Super creepy music as well.
Bad Sisters
Most the best have already been mentioned but I’ll add Daredevil, Animal Kingdom, and the Disney+ Star Wars intro (short but good).
Say what you want about Daredevil. But the opening of that is pretty dope.
The A Team. Best Opening Ever!
Peacemaker, both seasons.
All the variations of CSI’s
Fringe, especially the AU episodes.
Invader Zim is pretty hard to beat.
Westworld, true detective, it’s always sunny, peacemaker
