It’s Ridley Scott so it’ll either be as great as Napoleon (Extended) or as bad as Gladiator II.

God, this looks good.
Please don’t fuck it up, Ridley.

No hate or anything but I just don’t get the appeal of Elordi. He was brilliant in Frankenstein for what it was but still something about his performances outside of that doesn’t attract me at the slightest. Hopefully he’ll prove me wrong tho.

One of the four unmissable movies of the year for me, along with Disclosure Day, The Odyssey and Dune. I’m always there for Ridley Scott.

It’s crazy how I would not watch this if it had random actors, but with this cast, I might give it a go.

The shot through the plane’s roof … was a very good shot.
(I was born in Anchorage, so seeing this little jumper plane is pretty dear to me.)

Trailer looks good, but the use of Into the Mystic for the song did not match the score in the trailer. Felt really odd.

put some respect on Benedict Wong’s name. featured in the trailer but not in the casting shoutouts at all.

Can we please get a few more cliches in that trailer?

People here should read the book by Peter Heller. It’s a solid read.

I absolutely loved the book. I’m very afraid they will fuck it up. They need to keep it close like the Andy weir movies. Here’s to hoping.

Dude has a dog and Margaret Qualley, what more could you want?

Man it’d be great if a trailer gave you some sort of idea as to what the story is beyond just vibes.
But if Sir Ridley is directing it I’ll probably be there opening weekend.

So if there is hardly any people left, why are they shooting each other? At this point id be rooting for the virus. Then the giant meteor, just to be sure

One of those with Scott, it could be great and it could be middling or poor. You just don’t know what you get with his films these days. Josh Brolin and Guy Pearce are always worth a watch. Jacob Elordi is a solid leading man, check out The Narrow Road to the Deep North, a TV show from Amazon. The romance stuff is the least interesting stuff but the stuff in the prison of war camp is some of most brutal stuff I’ve seen and fantastically acted by the young cast of actors. Margaret Qualley even without any make up and downtrodden looks fantastic, very hit and miss as a actress mind you. But I do admire she seems to chose interesting projects as she could easily do romantic dramas or comedies like her mum did.

We need to introduce some new faces in movies. It’s getting kind of bland seeing the same 20 or so actors in everything. Bring in some fresh blood.
