Anyone here read the novel? How’s the story?
Brolin’s expression here does really powerfully remind me of an old dog I used to have. Specifically when she was grouchy but would wake up just long enough to see if I had a treat or not. Like “You got something for me or not?” Skeptical, mean eyes. If no treat detected, back to nap right away, no goodbye. Head would slink down, mop of hair covering the mean eyes. Sleep mode, like a closed laptop. I may see this movie for this nostalgic reason.
Odd that they filmed it in Italy.
