I just can’t get excited for this. Just looks like a longer episode of the show. Should have gone straight to Disney+.
Starfighter feels more like an actual return to what a Star Wars movie in theaters should be.

Looks fun. Annoyed they showed some close call getaway scenes, though.

You can’t go from a TV show to a theatrical movie. It almost never works.
(The only exception is Naked Gun)

It looks great imo.
i know some people say “it just looks like another episode of the show” but I think that only speaks of the Quality of the show’s cgi and special effects.

I rather have another season than this. I still hope it does well.

I really liked that “the old protect the young and then the young protect the old” line. I think this looks pretty good tbh and I was VERY down on this movie up until the last couple of trailers. It looks bigger than I originally thought it’d be
Say what you will about the Disney Star Wars, the effects continue to be in the best in the business vs. their brothers at marvel.

Love me some Grogu. I know it’s popular on reddit to hate on this movie but it’s exactly the kind of fun I’m looking for.

I hate that every character speaks english now. It makes the world seem smaller.

Such a shame that they ruined these characters after S2. I just can’t get interested in their story knowing what could’ve been and none of these trailers have convinced me to try again with them.

I just have the same problem with this that I had with season 3. They spent two seasons building up a network of friends for Din and Grogu and then just. dropped them. so what was the point. It’s like they took the criticisms of Book of Boba Fett as a takeaway of “nobody likes boba/fennec/cobb so let’s just drop them” but the actual reason it didn’t succeed was because it didn’t do any of them justice. Really disappointing, and I hope I’m proven wrong but I get the sense we won’t see or even hear about them in this.

I am way more excited to see how this performs at the box office than anything else. Because it will tell us where Star Wars is as a franchise in the public’s eye.

Screw it I think this looks fun. Grogu hopefully getting some character development that he hasn’t really had is good. Hopefully this signals a willingness to let him grow up a bit. I think people underestimate how characters growing with their audience à la Ahsoka and Anakin helps with the popularity among kids.

It looks great but I wish there was just more of the show instead.

It seems they’ve gone the safe way of a Disney park ride where everything is predictable and you got your seatbelts on.
It would have brought in a billion dollars years ago but I think the buzz kinda died down. Still half a billion wouldn’t be bad, it probably will get there worldwide.

All I see on r/reddit are comments about how no one cares about this movie.
The kids during the sold out Mario Galaxy showing went CRAZY for Grogu which actually surprised me and it was the only preview the kids reached to

Man, the trajectory of the Mandalorian franchise is so depressing.

I was obsessed with this series in the early days. I’ll probably watch this on D+ in a year or so when I get to it

They are not using Mandalorian’s theme music? That music works much better than whatever they are using in trailer.

I think it looks alright, but at the same time the trailer just seemed to be callback after callback, as if they didn’t have much more to it other than nostalgic references.

I just don’t trust anyone with this franchise other than Tony Gilroy at this point. Mando started off very well, but Season 3 was a huge step down across the board.
Ahsoka was so bad I couldn’t get past the first two episodes because the characters were so flat and boring. Ahsoka went from plucky and funny in Mando to being either mute or monotone.
This trailer reminds me of “Alien: Romulus” which was basically the Greatest Hits of the franchise with a few interesting tidbits mixed in that sadly didn’t lead anywhere new.
It seems like all the IPs now are just exhuming familiar gravesites and just dragging the corpses across the screen one more time for a few more credits.
The lack of enthusiasm, inspiration, and freshness is the only impressive thing about this.
