I’m very very hyped for this, especially if it manages to top Minus One

    Trailer is releasing later today:

    >CinemaCon viewers saw a behind-the-scenes sizzle reel that showed off the elaborate sets and props created for the film, like bomber jets, destroyed cities and a mini Godzilla model. The trailer picks up two years after “Minus One” and continues the story of the survivors’ from the kaiju’s last attack, director Takashi Yamazaki revealed. In the closing moments, Godzilla stomps his way to the Statue of Liberty, setting his sights on New York City.

Godzilla Minus One was excellent… I just hope that the rollout for this movie is better, because it was hard to find IMAX showings in America for the first one.

I wonder if it’ll have a black and white version too. Godzilla Minus One in black and white was perfect.

  5. I look forward to Godzilla Plus Two. It’s gonna be the funniest Godzilla movie ever made.

  6. To be followed by “Godzilla Plus One” and complete the Godzilla Sequential Number trilogy.

Next movie will be about Godzilla deciding who his plus-1 is for Mothra’s wedding.

Minus One in IMAX was a truly insane experience.

I went on a whim because Japanese films rarely get an IMAX release.

I left telling my wife we’re seeing this movie again on an IMAX screen. One of the best films that released in IMAX

The roar on that screen was deafening

  9. Minus One was amazing, hope Minus Zero can continue the trend. That movie excelled as it prioritized character. Also hope with it being IMAX, it’ll get a wider release than Minus.

  10. What is hype may never die, but rises again, harder and stronger. Man holy fuck I’m so excited. This feels like the Golden Age to be a lifelong Godzilla fan and just excited to be a fan.

  11. I have to admit, I was actually hoping that the film wouldn’t be a direct sequel. Set it in the same continuity, sure, but Shikishima has been through enough and deserves a happy ending.

Godzilla* returns to NYC. Japan going to show us how it’s done.

*If you acknowledge the 1998 monster as Godzilla

Giving the naming, is the sequel going to be “Godzilla Minus Negative One” or “Godzilla Plus One?”
