Lynda was originally cast as Miss May (a USO playmate) in Apocalypse Now (1979) and filmed scenes and a photo shoot in the Philippines in 1976. She left the production after a typhoon destroyed the set, causing delays that conflicted with her Wonder Woman TV contract. Colleen Camp replaced her, but a photo from Carter’s shoot exists in Apocalypse Now Redux
