I don’t think the recent MCU projects underperforming will affect this much. Personally, I know people who saw and enjoyed Infinity War and Endgame who had never seen a Marvel movie before then.

It would be great if they released the actual numbers.

Should probably be the highest grossing movie of the year in general when things are said and done.

We will see…, I‘m very excited for Avengers Doomsday‘s box office run. It‘ll be glorious, as Loki would say.
Still not sure about The Mandalorian & Grogu, but…
1. The Devil Wears Prada 2
2. Toy Story 5
3. Avengers Doomsday
…, will certainly be big for the individual studios: 20th Century Studios, Pixar Animation, Marvel Studios, and therefore Disney as a whole.
2026 is going to be the 6th year, where an MCU film becomes the highest grossing global release.
1. The Avengers (1.52B) – 2012
2. Captain America Civil War (1.15B) – 2016
3. Avengers Infinity War (2.05B) – 2018
4. Avengers Endgame (2.8B) – 2019
5. Spider-Man No Way Home (1.92B) – 2021
6. Avengers Doomsday (???) – 2026

I know that OW will be huge no matter what. The real test for its legs will be how good the actual movie/wom is.
If that rumored opening scene is true, yikes!

Potential $300M opening if everything aligns up well.

Correct me if I’m wrong but I believe the last MCU movie to get a holiday release day was No Way Home. I feel like that right there is another big indicator this thing is gonna be massive.

Im pretty new to trying to keep up with box office and projections. I tried googling but was mostly getting tech stuff, would someone mind explaining what “exploding on long-lead tracking” means or just long-lead tracking in general, does this just mean it’s expected to perform well?

Long lead tracking? They keep making up terms without giving numbers

>20th Century’s *The Devil Wears Prada* sequel to Pixar’s *Toy Story 5*
That’s unexpected.

They should to be scared of dune and should move apparently.

What? I was told Dune was going to make so much more than this.

Mandalorian is looking to tank for a SW movie, like Solo.

Makes sense, I just thought about how I didnt see most of the last phase in theatres so the break in production they did was soooooo smart

How do you even track this?

Looking at the engagement every piece of promotion they’ve released for this has gathered I’d expect the movie to do amazing on opening too. Reception will influence what kind of legs it will have but the opening will undoubtedly be massive.

It will be the biggest film of the year and I dont even like the MCU. Disney has not used the cameofest cash grabs enough where it hurts a film like Avengers….yet

This movie will challenge if not well exceed $300M OW domestic

Curious to see how this goes.
I’m personally not excited at all, but if the movie makes some noise, I will probably watch it.

Random aside, but it’s crazy to me that none of these forecasts ever so much as briefly mention Narnia in passing.

I think Doomsday will under perform and after hearing the script leaks, it might be some doo doo, and hopefully they’ll change the ending too.

I love the fact that there were doubts for some…
