this song was a mysterious commission, likely from a shitheel noble (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Franz\\\_von\\\_Walsegg) who liked to buy music and pass it off as his own.

Spoilers, then he died
that funeral scene hits different, especially knowing the backstory. wild how art can reflect life like that, especially when some dude was just trying to score points by stealing Mozart’s work.
Well, there it is.
Mozart writing the soundtrack to his own exit is the ultimate “perks of being the composer” flex.
One of the most dramatic moments
I’m going to see requiem performed by the Philadelphia Orchestra Sunday and I’m very excited.
Mozart wrote the first 8 bars of the Lacrimosa and then croaked.
You go too fast, you go too fast!!!
Watch it Jack. He killed Mozart!
Great scene, but the music was played for even more dramatic effect in the Big Lebowski. It was a bummer.
