Nice, Season 1 felt like it was just stretching its wings. Hope they lean harder into the small-town weirdness vibe, that was the most fun part for me.

    2. This is the show that Shrinking should be, it’s funny and has heart but a bit more grounded and not as sappy

Halfway through its first-season run, HBO’s comedy ‘Rooster,’ starring Steve Carell, has been renewed for a second.

Following the fall-set first installment, Season 2 will pick up the story in the spring semester at the fictional Ludlow College.

    4. This hasn’t been quite on the level of Ted Lasso or Shrinking for me but I’ve been really enjoying it!

    5. We’re enjoying it. It’s entertaining enough, and the definition of “comfort television”. It’s not prestige or anything, but it passes. Love the cop, he’s hilarious.

Slow start but Bill Lawrence seems to have his pulse on the heartfelt comedies. I’m in!

    7. I’m surprised. I like Steve Carrell as an actor but I couldn’t stomach this. Partway through the first episode and I just had to stop. Cheeeeeesy

    8. My wife and I have been enjoying it. It’s nothing incredible but it’s consistently funny. It’s weirdly almost like a 40 Year Old Virgin sequel, in that Steve Carell’s character reminds me of Andy a lot. Similar awkward energy. Good show! Happy it got renewed.
