Noah Hawley (‘Fargo’, ‘Legion’, ‘Alien: Earth’) to Direct Horror Remake ‘Terrified’ for Warner Bros. – It will be a reimagining of the 2017 film, which centers on a police officer and a series of paranormal researchers and investigators who attempt to get to the bottom of supernatural occurrences.

For all of his success in television, it’s weird that Hawley never really made the jump to movies. I know Lucy in the Sky was a complete disaster but I’m surprised it took him this long to give it another shot
Noah’s not my first choice for a director of a Hollywood remake of Aterrados, but with the way he uses atmosphere & suspense in some of the horror-leaning elements on Fargo and Alien Earth, I hope this will be at least a decent remake, even though it’s a big challenge with how scary the og version is.
Alien Earth made me lose faith in Hawley. 🙁
I highly recommend the original, it’s the same director as When Evil Lurks and I think is an arguably scarier film.
He’ll do anything but work on Fargo S6 lol
Work on a cognizant conclusion on alien Earth. Because those last three to four episodes were just not it. He shouldn’t have any opportunities before an exceptional season two.
He is mediocre.
Did anyone else initially misread this as saying Hawley would be directing a reimagining of *Terrifier*?
I came across Terrified randomly one night and I watched it. It was ok. One of those movies that would have been better kept as a 20 minute short film. I’m sure this remake is going to be more run of the mill schlock aimed at teeny boppers and parents that love bringing their crying 3 year olds into horror movies for some reason.
we are remaking movies that are less than ten years old now? jeez…
Nooooooo
Alien Earth ? Yeah Mate ill actively gonna avoid anything you ever do boyo.
That sounds great and all, but I’d really like more Fargo instead.
Aterados is the first movie since I was a kid to make me turn on a light.
Loved it so much I wrote the director and actor who kindly responded.
Anything but making my dream of Fargo Season 6 brining back William H Macy come true
Once again, americans think they can spawn the ultimate version of a movie.
So – we’re getting a big screen version of Wellington Paranormal then?
I’m sold, Sgt. Maaka!
Why do we need a “reimagining” of a film that came out nine years ago?
The og is great and Hawley is a terrible fit for what made it so good.
