It’s a great show and there is very little competition in Drama. I think a lot of people thought with Pluribus being a new Giliigan show, it might have come in and been the big new thing. I don’t think Pluribus met those expectations though, and at least for now it is absolutely not dethroning The Pitt….not even close.

Katherine LaNasa should go Lead, not Supporting. she’s the heart of the show

I didn’t follow shows like ER back in the day, but it seems like by sheer force of numbers and crowd pleasing factor massive ensemble casts in medical dramas almost by nature make for big Emmy numbers. Like in any given season you’ve got 4 members of each sex that could be competing for best supporting.

For me it’s deserved. Look at the other nominees and The Pitt is the most audience friendly critical hit out of them all. You can recommend this show to pretty much any casual tv watcher. Andor did have a case but The Pitt being a realistic feeling show puts it over for me.
I wouldn’t mind it winning best drama again. Noah and the head nurse should take some acting noms.

The only thing I hate about The Pitt is when the credits roll.
I could easily sit and watch an entire 13-14 hours of the Pitt in one sitting 😄

And it deserves everything.
Truly a remarkable series, from someone that doesn’t care about medical dramas, the show hooks you from the start and doesn’t let go. Please do yourself a favor if you haven’t seen it

The Emmys are one of the laziest awards out there, so if nothing new (and popular) comes along to catch the voters’ attention, The Pitt is going to spend years sweeping the drama and acting categories. Most Emmy votes are pretty much on autopilot.

People aren’t going to watch the Emmys anymore if the same people win every year. There are a lot of talented actors who don’t get acknowledged because Emmy voters refuse to watch new shows or vote for the same people every year. Wyle was very good in The Pitt but Brown and Scott were also excellent. Scott can’t be nominated this year but it would be nice if Brown or Hamm won. The lack of diversity is also frustrating. Last year 14 out of 15 winners were white actors.

It’s one of the very, very few shows where I don’t have my phone out doom scrolling with it in the background. All the other TV shows my wife always wants to watch Law & Order / Chicago I can read my phone and stay up with the show, without losing track of what’s going on.

I’ve always wondered why this sub is so obsessed with the Emmys. It’s a terrible show with a terrible history of winners that are mostly political voted on by people who don’t seem to watch a lot of TV. It’s like caring about a Grammy.

Great writing, great acting, no special effects = Wildly popular.
Are you taking notes movie-makers?

It’s insane when you think about it, what they’re accomplishing. 45-60 minute episodes, 15 episode seasons, no 3 year wait between seasons, and not to mention the show itself is better than pretty much anything else on TV in a long time.
They deserve all they praise they receive.

I just love seeing people (actors or not) who are just competent at their “job”. The Pitt is just one big orgy of medical competency and I love to see it.

Just think if the creator of ER’s widow would have allowed this to be a sequel to ER?
